šŸŒŸ The Benefits of messy play šŸŒŸ

Firstly, messy play can be very FUN for the children, they can get as messy as they want. It can promote independence allowing children to make choices and develop friendships. It can stimulate and develop all the senses learning how things feel, smell and taste.

Is your child fussy when it comes to food or maybe they don't like certain textures?

Messy play can help with this. We had children who did not eating certain foods until they played with the foods in class and now they eat these foods at home as they are familiar with the look/texture of them.

My messy play classes are Montessori inspired because I provide natural resources within my set ups as it is proven that wooden/natural resources provide lots of sensory benefits whilst bringing you closer to nature.

I use the montessori approach within my classes such as having practical life activities within the trays such as opportunities for scooping, pouring, transfering and mark making developing fine motor skills. These are essential skills that children need to develop and that can be transfered into later life. Practical life skills such as been able to put on their own shoes, coats and pouring their own drinks basically empowers them to be independent active learners whilst giving them the confidence to do so. Our Montessori aspects are naturally within our trays so your children will learn whilst they play! Natural learning at its best.

Our classes are for children aged 5months-5 years.
